  • When does the season start and finish?
    The UKBT season runs from 1st April to 31st October on an annual cycle
  • Why is every tournament only played with Wilson beach volleyballs?
    The UKBT is proudly sponsored by Wilson, who provided bespoke beach volleyballs to be exclusively used for all tournaments.
  • How do I find my UKBT membership status?
    Login to your playerzone account and check out your ‘Profile’. It will be stated on there.
  • How long is the membership valid for?
    Your membership is valid until 31st October for the current playing season
  • If I have a junior membership, can I still compete in non-junior competitions or do I need a full membership?
    Your junior membership covers ALL UKBT events!
  • What are the membership perks?
    Your membership perks can be found on the membership page on the playerzone
  • Can I cancel my membership and get a refund if I don’t play any events?
    No, memberships are non-refundable
  • Do my partner and I need matching kits?
    For 1 to 4 star events, no matching kit is required. For Grand slams, a playing top/sports bra will be provided. Further information on match kit can be found on page 13 to 15 of the UKBT Handbook
  • Can I get a refund for an event if I can not compete?
    That is fully down to the discretion of the tournament organiser/club. Check their refund policies. For 1 to 4 star events, refunds are at the discretion of the tournament organiser. For Grand slams, refer to page 8 in the handbook
  • Why does the entry fee vary for each event, even at the same level?
    The tournament organiser decides on their entry fee within a certain range set by the UKBT.
  • How do I enter a tournament?
    Follow these steps: Playerzone > Events > Find your event and click ‘info’ > Click ‘more info and enter’. All entries are taken by the tournament organisers so any queries should go directly to them.
  • Can I change my partner?
    For 1, 2 and 3 star event; yes at anytime. For 4 star and grand slams, check page 8 and 9 of UKBT Handbook.
  • If I want to change my partner, do I contact the UKBT or event organiser?
    Contact the event organizer as they are responsible for all entries.
  • My result for a tournament is incorrect. Who do I contact?
    Check with the tournament organiser to check it is incorrect. They will then contact the UKBT with the correction.
  • When are the points updated?
    The weekends tournament results are uploaded on the Tuesday following the event
